Wednesday Update: I got 7 more free soaps today and CVS let me walk out of there with $10.00! Can you believe this???!?!?!?!?!?

I got the laundry detergent and the deodorant from a friend who got it for free and the soap and the gum.... I got myself for free. This coupon stuff is fun! And all this was gathered within the last two days!

Keepers Of The Faith

I've posted lots of photos from today at our Keepers Blog.

So, it's official. He's out and about... sent off with a prayer....and Mcabearooni as a guinea pig passenger.
You should've heard the ladies at the DMV trying to pronounce his name. And he's so laid back...and casual...he takes it with a grain of salt when they twist it all up or resort to calling him Brian ot Brie.

The girls studying at 7:15 yesterday morning for their.....Literature Final.

The problem is....they left the studying till the morning of the test. One got a c- and the other got a c+. Lots of vocab and big words too....plus they weren't really into the book..... The Westing Game..... so, no surprises. Galilee was so cute. She ran up to me at co-op and said, "Well, I guess I will be re-taking this!" That's the way I've chosen to train them from the beginning...we strive for mastery. Most days anyways :)

I remember bombing all sorts of tests/assignments and just moving along.....never correcting errors when I was in school. A big fat red C (usually Math related ) would come back and I would shove it into the back of my binder...never to be seen or heard from again.

The funny thing is....it's the last book of the "official" year. The kids have Spring fever. I have Spring fever. I might've just been a little bit tempted to let this one slide???? Maybe. But my daughter pushed me towards BEST.

And to think Bria was snoozing during all this week-end fun. What's with these 16 year old boys....sleeping half the day away?

Name 5 Things

Five things I'd do if I had unlimited funds:

1. Use the credit card to remodel and add on, fix the car situation, and get everyone braces...then pay off the credit card in one clean sweep

2. Travel the world...using frequent flyer miles earned on the credit card :)

3. Cedars of Lebanon...Greener Pastures...Lifetime Achievement

4. Publish

5. Give away blessings according to needs and desires

What are five things you would do if money were no object?

Deut 11:19

When the requirements of motherhood threaten to overwhelm....remember to take courage for we are not alone.

Reactive Attachment Disorder

Three families breaking bread together and engaging in transparent conversation about varying degrees of struggle. Sharing memories, heartbreak, fears, failures, victories, laughter, and hope.

Living life together.

Authentically.

The enemy would have us believe we are all alone. What a LIAR!

11 kids between us. Each a precious gift. Each a son or a daughter.

Each an instrument through which the Lord works to grow us deeper.

What is He trying to show us here? Can we hear what He is whispering to our hearts?

Can we impart that wisdom to our children...so that they can pass it down?

Tell them what the Lord has done for He is good!

Juno

This is a must see if you have teenagers. We have great communication with our great kids who have great friends...and still they have a private teen-age world in which they live. It sure is wonderful when they invite us in.

Friends With Money

One of the most authentic films I've ever seen. Don't watch it if you are sensitive or take issue with reality.

Reactive Attachment Disorder

In time....with guidance, consistency, and lots of grace....growth comes. Change happens. And before you know it...what was once a day in and day out battle becomes an occasional skirmish. Intimacy is not just craved...... but accepted and even initiated. Love is reciprocated. The kind of love that says "I know who you are. Even the ugly parts. And I choose you."

Without truth there is no trust and without trust there is no relationship.

Work on truth. In love.

If you mess up the "in love" part.....repent.

Trust will follow.

Assumptions That Affect Our Lives

written by Christian Overman

The first time I read this book was a few years ago. For some reason, I've been prompted recently to pick it up again.

"The evidence is only hidden from the blind."

"Like an iceberg floating on the ocean with just ten percent of it visible above the waves and ninety percent of it below the surface, we sometimes lose sight of the fact that the words we hear and read, and the actions we see from others, are first shaped by invisible thoughts, deep in the unseen world of a person's heart."

Ever feel as if time is moving way too fast for your liking?

This photo sums co-op up perfectly for me.

Clayton and Abby

Today in co-op....the k-3 class used Harold and The Purple Crayon as a starting point for their studies. They learned all about fractions and even wrote a story on the wall....each student contributing a little bit. Zion's section involved a family with twins visiting a zoo. Notice the Dad's beard and mustache.

Co-op prayer time.

Ummmmmmmmmmmmm....somehow.....somewhere along the way.....my baby girl grew into a young lady.

My birthday tells me my body is 41. The gym tests tell me it's 39. The trainer thinks she can get me back to 29.

Been there done that. Besides, I'm not willing to fork up the $ or the pain, sweat, and tears to do so.

I'm just happy to be getting stronger. My headaches are practically non-existent and my funky, bum neck.....I don't even notice it!

Happy Birthday Mom/Nana

You are the Lord's gift to all of us. And we give Him thanks for you. Never before in the history of the earth has there been a more devoted mother.
